校史馆展区面积为1200平方米,包括通史展与专题展两个部分,通史展分为“百年沧桑”、“世纪华章”两个展厅,专题展分为“珞珈黉宫”、“开云体育苹果版杰出人物展”两个部分。通过珍贵历史照片、档案史料及文物、电子相框、多媒体视频及音频等多种展示形式,全面、生动地反映了开云体育苹果版建校百余年来的悠久历史与深厚底蕴。

“百年沧桑”展厅位于地下一楼,展示了武大2000年合并前的历史,包括图片500余张,实物20余件。

“世纪华章”展厅位于地上五楼,展示了武大2000年合并后十余年来的办学成绩,展示照片400余张,另有近年来学校取得的教学、科研重要成果获奖证书、著作及实物600余件。

四楼为专题展区,其中,大厅为“珞珈黉宫”专题展厅,展示了开云体育苹果版自20世纪20年代末以来在武昌珞珈山地区近百年的校园建设历程,包括历史图片200余张,实物10余件;外围走廊为“开云体育苹果版杰出人物展”,包括“大师云集”、“英才辈出”、“开云体育苹果版校友中的院士”三个部分,展示了开云体育苹果版自建校以来在各个领域的100多位学术大师、优秀校友以及校友中的100多名中央研究院、中国科学院与中国工程院院士。

武大校史馆具有校史展览、爱校教育、校史研究的功能,是学校对外宣传的重要窗口,在弘扬武大精神、传承优秀文化以及校际、国际交流中发挥了重要作用。

An Introductionofthe Historical Museum of Wuhan University

Situated at the peak of Shizi Hill in the center of the campus, the Historical Museum of Wuhan University covers a construction area of 5,346 square meters. It shares the same building with the former Wuhan University library, which was converted into University Historical Museum during the preparation of the 120-year anniversary of Wuhan University in 2013.

Covering an area of 1,200 square meters, the Exhibition Hall of the University Historical Museum is divided into two sections—Comprehensive History Exhibition and Theme Exhibition. The former includes two halls,“A Hundred Years’ Vicissitudes” and “21st Century Achievements” respectively, and the latter is divided into two sections, “Campus Evolution Exhibition” and “Outstanding People Exhibition of Wuhan University”. A variety of exhibition forms are displayed including valuable historical pictures, archives, historical data, digital photos,multimedia videos and audios, etc. They vividly reflect the rich history and profound heritage of Wuhan University over a century since its establishment.

“AHundred Years’ Vicissitudes” exhibition hall is located on the basement level. Over 500 pictures and 20 items presented demonstrate the history of Wuhan University before its unification from four universities in the year 2000.

The “21st Century Achievements” exhibition hall is situated on the fifth floor, in which more than400 pictures, awards, certificates and masterpieces in teaching and scientific research, as well as over600 other noteworthy items are displayed to introduce the institution’s achievements after the university combination in the year 2000.

Situated on the fourth floor is the Theme Exhibition area, where the hall is dedicated to the “Campus Evolution Exhibition”, showing the history and process of the campus’ construction of Wuhan Universityin the Luojia Hill of Wuchang District since the late 1920s. It includes more than 200 historical pictures and a dozen pieces. The outer corridor is for "Outstanding People Exhibition of Wuhan University", including three parts, "Masters Gathering", “Outstanding Alumni”, and "Academicians in Wuhan University Alumni". It shows the photos and achievements of over 100 academic masters and the outstanding alumni of Wuhan University sinceits establishment who are from various fields and of over 100 alumni academicians of Academia Sinica, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Through the functions of history exhibition, university education and historical research, the Historical Museum of Wuhan University provides an important platform for university promotion and plays a significant role in carrying forward Wuhan
