Wuhan University Office of International Affairs is a functional department and service agency responsible for implementing national policies related to foreign affairs and carrying out international exchanges and cooperation. Its main functionalities include drafting plans for the university’s international exchanges, coordinating activities of foreign affairs, organizing and developing important international cooperation programs, and providing schools and departments with information and services in teaching, researching and international academic exchanges. The office is also in charge of planning major visits abroad and receiving foreign visits at home, managing exchange programs with other universities including making plans, signing agreements and tracking their implementations and operations. Works related to foreign teachers and experts such as hiring, approving, foreign managing and living services are included. In addition, the office is responsible for approvals of international meetings, cooperative education, overseas missions on business and applications of passports and visas on business.
